COVID-19

[Back to News Page] [Previous] [Next]

The situation in respect of Covid-19 is constantly changing which means any guidance created today is in general terms and may change tomorrow. We will ensure that communication remains open and transparent for all residents during this time whilst using the communal areas of your building.

We have been liaising with those that carry out the cleaning to sterilise communal areas of the building. They are paying particular attention to address 'High Traffic' areas such as;

  • Main entrance door and door furniture
  • Push plates
  • Entryphone panels
  • Hand rails/ banisters
  • Lifts and lift buttons
  • Door handles to bin stores

Thinking of residents living within the building, some residents are in the high-risk group. The guidance is that residents need to confirm to us if they are self-isolating and/or have been tested positive. Once your Property Manager has been notified of this, we will then take guidance from Public Health England (PHE) as to the cleaning required within the building. We will also notify all other residents within the building along with all contractors.

Please note that a deep clean of the communal areas may be required in accordance with guidance from PHE. This may result in an unbudgeted expenditure item to achieve this.

Please ensure you do not invite contractors or visitors to your flat when you are self-isolating or have been tested positive.

How to avoid catching or spreading Coronavirus:
DO
Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

DO NOT
Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
