Drone services now available at Fifield Glyn!

With an upturn in Clients wanting their properties surveyed, often with difficult access to roofs and alleyways proving unsafe for on foot inspection or costly hiring of cherry pickers and scaffolding, Fifield Glyn is now able to offer drone surveys as part of its services.

The aerial inspection services provide an ideal solution to previous problematic surveys and thanks to the on-board technology, all surveys are specially recorded in 4k video for instant reply. A video is supplied to the Client along with a written report with image highlighting any areas of concern.

Fees range from £500 depending on the site and location.

Fifield Glyn back in Manchester after 25 years!

Fifield Glyn have acquired Beesleys Chartered Surveyors, the Lower Byrom Street based firm, from Sole Principal Stuart Beesley FRICS who will join Fifield Glyn as a Consultant. Beesleys were founded in 1975 and have built a strong reputation for property company and private clients over the North West particularly in relation to Valuation and Professional Work for both Residential and Commercial Property.
Fifield Glyn was also founded in Manchester in 1975 but moved out to Gadbrook Park near Northwich in 1992. They now also have offices in Mayfair and Edgware in London.
Stuart Beesley commented “I am delighted to be able to take life a bit easier after 40 years of building and running my Practice but it is very important to me that my Clients are passed into a safe pair of hands. I have known John Fifield and his firm for many years and I have no doubt Fifield Glyn will continue to look after them well”.
John Fifield said “We are delighted to have acquired Beesleys. They are a highly regarded and well established firm in Manchester with an excellent Client base. It is a great opportunity for Fifield Glyn to re-establish itself in Manchester after a long absence.”
Richard Smith will be transferring from Gadbrook Park to Manchester to work alongside Stuart, particularly in relation to offices and industrial property plus Residential Block Management.

Fifield Glyn Reduce RV £82,500 to £1

28 February 2018

John Fifield represented Osborne House at the Manchester LVT and has got the Assessment reduced from RV £82,500 to £1 whilst their office building on Gadbrook Park was undergoing a major refurbishment. The VO argued that they could assume that the building was in repair but LVT rejected this argument and accepted John Fifield’s submission that the Assessment should be reduced to “building undergoing reconstruction” with effect from the commencement of the stripping out works.  This followed the recent Supreme Court ruling in Newbigin -v- Monk.  John Fifield commented “this is a victory for common sense”.

Fifield Glyn dispose of Insight House, Northwich, Cheshire

Office Insight have sold their 10,240 sq ft office, showroom and workshop Insight House for a consideration of £600,000 to EnviroCraft Waste Solutions. Fifield Glyn acted on behalf of Office Insight.

Insight House comprises of a front warehouse totalling 449.5 sqm (4,838.37 sq ft) with a rear warehouse and showroom of 169.9 sqm (1,828.78 sq ft) and offices on ground and first floor totalling 331.9 sqm (3,575.54 sq ft). The property also benefits from a secure yard area. The site is located on Denton Drive, Northwich providing easy access to the A556 to Manchester with Junction 19 of the M6 just 5 miles away.

Sold! Unit 6, Treforest Industrial Estate, Mid Glamorgan

Towerestates Limited have sold their 100,000 sf Grade 2 Listed factory to JR Ferris for £735,000.  JCP Solicitors acted on behalf of the purchaser, whilst Jenkins Best and Fifield Glyn acted on behalf of Towerestates.

The Treforest Industrial Estate extends to 1.410 hectares (3.486 acres) with occupiers including BBC, DSG Retail, Screwfix, BSS group, Barclays Bank, Lloyds TSB and Peacocks/Edinburgh Woollen Mill. It is situated about 8 miles north west of Cardiff and 3 miles north of Junction 32, M4.

Osborne House dispose of No.6 12 O’clock Court, Attercliffe Road, Sheffield S4 7WW

Osborne House have sold the leasehold of a self-contained three storey office in Sheffield for £325,000. WPA acted on behalf of the purchaser, Abbey Taylor Insolvency Practitioners, whilst Knight Frank and Fifield Glyn acted on behalf of Osborne House.

The self-contained office comprises of 4,100 sq ft arranged over three floors with 12 car spaces benefitting from a passenger lift, modern kitchen and breakout area.

‘Tis the season of goodwill!

The centre supports people with muscular dystrophy by providing physiotherapy, employment and training.

Fifield Glyn dispose of Unit 6/7 City Point 2, Chapel Street, Salford, M3 6BF
